Every year on 20 November, we remember and honour the lives of trans and gender-diverse people reported murdered in the past 12 months.

In the past 12 months, 375 trans and gender-diverse people were reported killed globally.

Of the reported killings worldwide, sex workers make up the majority of victims.

A total of 4042 trans and gender-diverse people were reported killed in 80 countries between January 2008 and September 2021.

Migrants make up a high number of reported murders in Europe. And, of the reported killings of trans and gender-diverse people whose profession was known, worldwide, 58 per cent were sex workers.
